MY ROAD TO RECOVERY

Approximately two years ago, I had a life threatening car accident that left me with a broken back. The results from the accident left me in constant pain. The pain was so bad that I could only be on my feet doing something for short periods of time. I was pretty much bed ridden for almost two years, and it took almost that long for me to progress to being on my feet for about five hours a day.

A year after the accident, the doctors decided that I would have to have surgery on my arm, which was also severely injured in the accident. The operation was very extensive. The day after the surgery I was very ill from the anaesthesia that I couldn't even get out of bed. I couldn't move any of my muscles, it hurt so much. At that point I wondered why I even had the surgery.

Since I was bed ridden, I called Dr. Kunej to see if there was something he could do to help me get some relief from the pain. He came over to my house, which I thought was very caring. He did a chiropractic adjustment on my low and mid back, ( which considering what I had just been through,) had many vertebral subluxations. Soon after he left, I began to feel much better. I felt the warm blood and healing moving through my fingers, so I decided to take a nap for about an hour. When I woke up, I felt great!

Two years ago, I was a real mess. Since starting my chiropractic care, I have noticed many changes in my health, both mentally and physically. Now I can pick up my head and my muscles feel much better.

I would highly recommend chiropractic care to anyone who is experiencing pain. I feel that Dr. Kunej and chiropractic has made the healing time from my accident shorter and much more comfortable. Thanks to both!

A Mother's Testimonial

Kyra came to Family Care Chiropractic because I had begun treatment and was excited about the possibilities for the positive impact chiropractic care has proven to have on children's health.  Since the age of 2 years, Kyra has suffered seasonal asthma. This has been traumatic for her and our family as it has "required" hospital stays, steroidal medication and inhalers. Over the past 2 years, (Kyra is now four), she has had two hospital stays and at least 50 mask treatments in emergency, as well as on going inhaler use. This distressed me as a mommy because I know the negative side effects of long term steroid and inhaler use. However, as most mothers do, I trusted (but felt mislead) by the traditional medical community. Since her adjustments, which we began in March, she has had no need for inhalers, emergency visits to the hospital or steroids.

According to the past asthma history, she should have had between 12-15 mask treatments in the last 8 weeks! This has not happened and I attribute this amazing healing to the care she has received by Dr. Kunej and has spinal adjustments. I feel blessed as a mother that the chiropractic method of healthcare was discovered for myself and my family so early in Kyra's life and look forward to her never having to experience asthma again.
