What to Expect at Family Care Chiropractic

Everyone at Family Care Chiropractic is committed to making your visit a comfortable and rewarding experience. Your chiropractic care involves a series of visits, with each chiropractic adjustment building on the last. It is important that we create a relationship where you know and understand your chiropractic care. The more you understand who we are and what chiropractic care involves, the more you will enjoy your care and the more you will get from your care as well!

Your First Visit to the Chiropractor

Once you have scheduled your initial exam, we start our patients off by completing a health history form, including the purpose of your visit. This can be conveniently completed online. Once your forms are completed, when you come to the office, you will meet with Dr. Sandy or Dr. Adam. If you are unfamiliar with chiropractic care, the doctor will take a few moments to explain what he will be looking for in your chiropractic examination. Dr. Sandy or Dr. Adam will then review your health history, including all past injuries, persistent problems and any current symptoms you are experiencing. Dr. Sandy or Dr. Adam will also inquire about your health goals for the future, i.e. improved posture, increased flexibility, returning to a favourite sport, decreased pain at work, etc… The doctor will complete a thorough series of examinations including: postural, orthopedic, neurological and spinal. If x-rays are necessary, they will be recommended at this point.

Your Second Chiropractic Visit

Once your initial examination is complete, we will book a follow-up appointment to report the results of the examination, review your x-ray findings and discuss the cause of your problems. If chiropractic care is advised, Dr. Sandy or Dr. Adam will make recommendations for your care and course of treatments. Treatments may include chiropractic adjustments and stretches or strengthening exercises. Regular process re-evaluations are scheduled in order to monitor the progress of your care. If we do not feel that chiropractic is your best option, we will recommend an alternative course of action. We will review your care options and offer flexible payment plans to help make chiropractic care affordable for all our patients so they receive the best care. Dr. Sandy will then administer your first set of adjustments.

We look forward to getting you on the road to health!

A Regular Visit

A typical visit to our office takes approximately 10-15 minutes. Every adjustment builds from the previous one, which is why it is important to stay on your recommended treatment and scheduled appointments to receive the best care.
